    Save/restore the row number in insert_indicator()

    This was the cause of some very slight funkiness when displaying files
    after a save/restore (e.g. Ctrl-T or other global hot key) operation.

    In K_AUTODEL mode, treat backspace same as DELete for initial keystroke

    This makes more sense than just deleting the last char in the string in this case.
