I don't really see the issue with some door games being common on many BBS I think that could actually be a good thing - That means if a user runs ou turns in the game or runs out of time on one BBS, it doesn't mean they hav wait until the next day to play it again. The user could go play the game another BBS that has that game installed.

I play L.O.R.D. on 3 different BBS's. I have do this for many years and reall enjoy it.
I have several door games installed here, but the only three that seem to draw any players are LORD, Yankee Trader, and OOII.
Speaking of doors, I have a new one I've just about finished and it is vastly different than any other door ever created, sounds pretentious I know, but it's true. Ok, maybe that was a little much, but it is pretty darn cool. I call her Quantasia and she is an Agentic AI Chat Assistant. Its a door you can spend hours inside of, you can literally loose track of time. She contains multiple AI models, up to 32, that are trained on various subjects, and are all configurable by the sysop as to how they behave. It has an easy menu system to import and config each assistant. I have her to the point where she is writing her own code that is used to write her.
I know there are a lot of AI naysayers out there, but just try it before you dismiss it. Its not a hokie toy, its a serious tool that may take the BBS scene to the next level. Even though the bots love to play games too, they are equally adept at discussing and teaching quantum mechanics, writing source code or helping you set up your BBS. So, if you take a little time to put Quantasia through her paces, I think you'll be converted to the dark side. But seriously, all kidding aside, its a pretty cool experience and is configurable to the point where it will be unique on each BBS.
