I thought it was odd/interesting that they are only playing two shows
in Canada, and both are in Toronto.
4 nights now.
I figured demand might cause that number to go up!
The only California dates are in Inglewood at the beginning of the tour. Don't think I'd want to drive 5+ hours to catch one of the first shows.
I saw a band I've liked for years, Marillion, on their last tour. San Francisco was their first stop. Their set was short and felt off.
Listening to from later shows, they were longer and sounded much more
tight.
Yeah, there is that risk but I suspect that Rush would attempt not to make
that so. Speaking of, I saw them twice on the Roll the Bones tour. The
first time, they were pretty tight and is was awesome. The second time, a
few months later, the set was shorter for sure, and they also seemed off.
I guess the risk with a long tour is that the later shows could also be the ones that fall off. Trying to be "on" every night has to be tiring.
They have something called the Front Row Club - they sell recordings
made off of the mixing board at the shows, so you can buy the show you
went to. Very interesting idea, and better quality than a bootleg.
They did a song called "Kay Leigh" that is one of my all time favorites,
but other stuff of theirs I have listened to didn't strike me like that one did.
